PR and Fundraising Assistant

Job purpose:
To assist in implementing BCFE’s programmes.

Main responsibilities:

1. Create fundraising and PR plan yearly.
2. Coordinate and implement the events and fundraising plan.
3. Write proposals.
4. Screen and target new donors and grants.
5. To carry out administrative tasks, including typing of correspondence, programme documents, statistical data, mailings, data recording telephone calls, sending out faxes, maintaining appointment diary and schedules appointments, etc.
6. Development of relationships with supporters / participants.
7. Represent BCFE in outdoor events.
8. Compiles relevant documentation related to budget revisions, workplans, inventory list, progress reports to facilitate monitoring and follow-up on activities.
9. Maintains a reference filing system on various subjects.
10. Translating letters and other documents
11. Participate in coordinating conferences, meetings, seminars and workshops organized in BCFE through liaising with other sectors, preparing documents and agenda, etc.
12. Comply with all relevant BCFE policies and procedures.
13. Performs any other duties as required.

Person specification

• University degree
• Minimum one year working experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic
• NGO experience, working or volunteering
• Good communication, interpersonal, representation and negotiation skills.
• Ability and willingness to develop skills and knowledge
• Ability to work in a team and communicates effectively.
• Good Working Knowledge Of MS Office
• Good Typing Skills (Arabic / English)
• Good translation skills (Arabic / English)

General duties
• Duties as assigned
