2014
A group of students from the Modern English School (MES) took the initiative to raise awareness of breast cancer among students and teachers alike. They also collected donations to support BCFE's services.

Ms. Ghada El-Dojani, MES Headmistress, said she welcomed the students' initiative as it is important to raise awareness among both boys and girls. She also added that she is proud to have overcome breast cancer and is a survivor herself.

Dr. Mohamed Shaalan, Professor of Surgical Oncology and BCFE Chairperson, said that one of BCFE's goals is to address not only women, but men and children as well, to raise awareness of breast cancer. This can be done by cooperating with schools and universities to raise more awareness of early detection as well as the different kinds of support breast cancer survivors need.
